The purpose of this report is to document information about the technical development and production processes for XML titles disseminated by the ACLS History E-Book Project (HEB), an electronic publishing initiative whose goals are to assist scholars in the electronic publication of high-quality works in history, to explore the intellectual possibilities of new technologies, and to help assure the continued viability of history writing in today’s changing publishing environment.
